Hoeven: North Dakota's Growth a Result of Good Economic Opportunities, A High Quality of Life

WASHINGTON – Senator John Hoeven today issued the following statement after the U.S. Census Bureau released the results of the 2020 Census, showing a record high population for North Dakota of 779,094 residents, having grown by nearly 16 percent since 2010.

“For more than two decades, we’ve worked in North Dakota to build a vibrant and growing economy. We created a legal, tax and regulatory environment that encouraged investment and innovation. At the same time, we have unleashed the potential of agriculture and energy, while establishing our state as an emerging leader in tech entrepreneurship. The resulting opportunities have helped bring new residents to communities across our state, as they seek the good-paying jobs and high quality of life that North Dakota has to offer.”
