Veterans
A strong U.S. military is the cornerstone of our national security and the foundation for a peaceful future. We must never take for granted the sacrifices of our servicemembers, and it is our duty to provide them with the best equipment, facilities, and support to continue defending our freedoms. As our brave men and women transition to civilian life, we must ensure they receive the health care, benefits, and recognition they have earned.
In my role on the Senate Appropriations Military Construction and Veterans Affairs Committee, I work to ensure our military and veterans have the resources they need to address today’s security challenges, modernize for the future, and uphold our commitment to caring for our servicemembers and their families long after their service ends. This includes working to enhance the North Dakota Veterans Cemetery in Mandan, and to develop and expand the Fargo National Veterans Cemetery. These efforts are all about ensuring those who have served are laid to rest with dignity and respect.
