Energy
As a top energy producer in the nation, our state became an energy powerhouse by leveraging our abundant natural resources and strategically investing in the infrastructure needed to deliver that energy to consumers. Thanks to innovation and new technologies, along with our efforts to put in place the right tax and regulatory framework, we’ve significantly boosted energy production while improving our environmental stewardship.
Our energy renaissance has led to the creation of thousands of high-quality jobs, all while strengthening national security by reducing our reliance on foreign imports. As a member of both the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee and the Senate Energy and Water Appropriations Committee, I am committed to advancing a comprehensive, states-first, all-of-the-above energy strategy. As governor, I initiated the EmPower North Dakota plan, a comprehensive energy strategy for our state, and now we’re continuing to build on those efforts to restore America’s energy dominance. This approach ensures that we continue to provide affordable, reliable energy to power our homes, businesses and economy, while maintaining our leadership in energy production.
