Hoeven Announces More Than $220,000 in Infrastructure Funding for North Dakota
WASHINGTON – Senator John Hoeven, a member of the Senate Transportation Appropriations Committee, today announced that the U.S. Department of Transportation’s (DOT) Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) has awarded three grants totaling $226,474 for infrastructure funding throughout North Dakota. The awards are distributed as follows:
- North Dakota Department of Transportation – $100,000 – The funds will be used to repair roads and infrastructure throughout the James and Sheyenne River Basins that were damaged by flooding.
- North Dakota Department of Transportation – $100,000 – The funds will be used to repair roads and infrastructure throughout Divide County that were damaged by heavy rain.
- National Park Service, McKenzie, Billings – $26,474 – The funds will be used to reconstruct several Federal Lands Transportation Facilities.
“Today’s funds will help ensure that roads and transportation facilities in our state can continue to be used safely,” Hoeven said.
