Sloulin Field Redevelopment Discussion

Hoeven will meet with leaders from the City of Williston and Sanford Health to discuss the redevelopment of the former Sloulin Field International Airport. Sanford recently announced its intention to build a new clinic and hospital on the site of the old airport, following the opening of the new Williston Basin International Airport in October 2019. As a member of the Senate Transportation, Housing and Urban Development Appropriations Committee, Hoeven secured more than $114 million in federal funding to support the relocation of Williston’s airport, providing the opportunity to redevelop this real estate, which lies in a central part of the city.
