Signing Ceremony with Interior Deputy Secretary, Dickey-Sargent Irrigation District for Oakes Test Area Title Transfer

On Thursday, October 15, Senator John Hoeven will hold a signing ceremony with Deputy Secretary of the Interior Kate MacGregor to transfer the title of the Oakes Test Area to the Dickey-Sargent Irrigation District. Hoeven worked to advance negotiations with the Bureau of Reclamation (BOR) to allow the irrigation district to purchase the test area and its infrastructure, enabling the facility to be adapted to benefit local agriculture producers and preventing it from being abandoned.
