Senator Hoeven to Hold Ag Research, Producer Roundtable at NDSU

FARGO, N.D. – On Friday, November 14, Senator John Hoeven will hold a roundtable at North Dakota State University (NDSU) with agriculture researchers, producers and commodity groups to discuss the priorities that Hoeven worked to secure in the Fiscal Year (FY) 2026 agriculture funding legislation. As chairman of the Senate Agriculture Appropriations Committee, Hoeven helped negotiate the bill’s inclusion in a legislative package to end the government shutdown, which was passed by Congress this week.

Among other priorities, the discussion will focus on growing support for agriculture research initiatives in the state. This includes increased funding that Hoeven secured for the NDSU Ag Risk Policy Center, continued renovations at the Edward T. Schafer Agricultural Research Center, and the AgTech Cooperative Agreement between NDSU, Grand Farm and the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Agricultural Research Service.
