Roundtable Event and Tour of Red Trail Energy

RICHARDTON, N.D. – On Friday, June 2, Senator John Hoeven will hold a roundtable at Red Trail Energy to discuss efforts to help advance carbon capture and sequestration (CCS) technologies. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) recently issued a proposed rule, at Hoeven’s urging, to give North Dakota regulatory primacy over Class VI injection wells, an important step in supporting Red Trail Energy’s CCS efforts. Following the roundtable, Hoeven will tour Red Trail Energy’s ethanol facility to see work to integrate CCS to reduce the plant’s carbon footprint.
