Groundbreaking for Xcel Energy's Courtenay Wind Farm

Hoeven will travel to Courtenay, where he will take part in the groundbreaking celebration for Xcel Energy’s Courtenay wind farm. The 200 megawatt windfarm spans 25,000 acres and has 100 turbines. When fully operational, it will have the capacity to serve 105,000 homes.
