FAA Secure Data Feed Press Conference

GRAND FORKS, N.D. – On Friday, February 27, Senator John Hoeven will hold a press conference with Trevor Woods, Executive Director of the Northern Plains UAS Test Site, officials from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and leaders from North Dakota’s unmanned aviation industry to announce the activation of the secure FAA radar data feed at the state’s test site. Hoeven first announced the agreement to bring the radar feed to the test site at the 2024 UAS Summit, following his work to pass legislation to require such an initiative from the FAA and make the case for North Dakota as the best location for these efforts. Hoeven will outline how this capability will maintain the state’s position as the most advanced UAS ecosystem in the nation, empowering new avenues for UAS and counter-UAS research, development and testing.
