July 29 2022 12:30 aaa

On Friday, July 29, Senator John Hoeven will meet with Bureau of Reclamation (BOR) Commissioner Camille Touton in North Dakota to discuss efforts to advance regional water projects, including the Northwest Area Water Supply (NAWS), Red River Valley Water Supply (RRVWS) and Eastern North Dakota Alternate Water Supply (ENDAWS) projects. Through his role on the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee, Hoeven invited Touton to visit the state and has been working with her to advance North Dakota’s priorities.

Hoeven and Touton first will visit the site of the Red River Valley Water Supply Intake near Washburn, North Dakota, and then hold a roundtable with Garrison Diversion officials at the Snake Creek Pumping Plant to discuss water infrastructure projects across the state. Later that day, Hoeven and Touton will review progress on the construction of the NAWS Biota Treatment Plant near Max, North Dakota.
