Hoeven: USDA Awards Funding to Three North Dakota Communities to Support Water Infrastructure Improvements

WASHINGTON – Senator John Hoeven, Ranking Member of the Senate Agriculture Appropriations Committee, today announced that the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Rural Development has awarded the following funds to three communities in North Dakota under the Water and Environmental Program:

  • City of New Salem – $1,426,000 loan and $1,110,000 grant to replace the water main and sewer pipes for the city. 
  • City of Hillsboro – $585,000 loan and $466,626 grant to fund a new pipeline for the city’s water system.
  • City of Beach – $290,000 loan and $236,250 grant to build a new water transmission main to help increase water quality.

“Today’s investments will help improve water infrastructure and provide residents of these three communities with sustainable water for years to come,” said Hoeven.
