Hoeven Statement Welcoming Home ND Guard's 1-112th Aviation Regiment

WASHINGTON – Senator John Hoeven, a member of the Senate Appropriations Military Construction and Veterans Affairs Subcommittee, today released the following statement honoring members of the North Dakota National Guard’s 1-112th Aviation Regiment for successfully completing a yearlong mission in Kosovo.

“We are grateful to these brave soldiers for their dedicated service on behalf of our state and nation and proudly welcome them home to North Dakota. During their yearlong deployment, we know they, along with their loved ones, have made untold sacrifices, for which we are sincerely grateful. We have prayed for these brave men and women over the past year and we wish them all the best as they return home and transition back into life in North Dakota. Welcome home to the 1-112th and thank you for a mission well-served,” said Hoeven.

The soldiers are part of the Bismarck-based Headquarters and Headquarters Company of the 1st Battalion, 112th Aviation Regiment (Security and Support), and come from 15 communities in North Dakota. The 1-112th provided aviation support during their NATO mission in Kosovo and served as the command and control headquarters for other aviation companies.
