Hoeven: Senate Passes Resolution in Recognition of Juneteenth
WASHINGTON – Senator John Hoeven today issued the following statement after the U.S. Senate passed a resolution recognizing June 19, 2022 as Juneteenth. Hoeven is one of 50 senators to cosponsor the resolution, which can be found here.
“The Senate resolution recognizes Juneteenth and the date in 1865 that marked the end of slavery in the United States,” said Hoeven. “The resolution was unanimously approved by the Senate to commemorate June 19, 2022 as Juneteenth.”
