Hoeven Honors Fargo-Based Packet Digital For Earning Prestigious Award

WASHINGTON – Senator John Hoeven this week congratulated Fargo-based Packet Digital, LLC for being named the Electronics and Overall Innovation Challenge Winner at Aviation Week’s 2012 Innovation Challenge. Hoeven met with Packet Digital Chief Executive Officer Dr. Joel Jorgenson and Chief Operating Officer Terri Zimmerman in the U.S. Capitol on Thursday. 

            “Packet Digital is an outstanding example of the kind of innovation and hard work that drives our economy and will lead to the future success of our country,” said Hoeven. “This North Dakota company has worked extremely hard to develop cutting-edge, technologically advanced products that distinguish the company from its peers. National recognition for their initiative and success is well deserved.” 

            Jorgenson and Zimmerman accepted the company’s awards during Aviation Week’s 2012 Innovation Challenge held in Washington, D.C., on Wednesday.  Under their leadership, Packet Digital has continued to earn national recognition and has become an emerging world leader in advanced power management. 

            Aviation Week began the Innovation Challenge as a vehicle to recognize the most esteemed accomplishments of individuals and teams working in the aerospace, aviation and defense industries. Packet Digital, LLC was recognized for its PowerSage Power Management Integrated Circuits.
