Hoeven: FAA Releases Funding for Three North Dakota Airports

WASHINGTON – Senator John Hoeven, a member of the Senate Transportation, Housing and Urban Development (THUD) Appropriations Committee, today announced that the U.S. Department of Transportation’s (DOT) Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has finalized grant awards and released funding to three North Dakota airports. Today’s Airport Improvement Program (AIP) supplemental grants were previously announced by Hoeven last year and will benefit three North Dakota airports, including:

  • Hector International Airport in Fargo – $10 million for cargo apron expansion.
  • Watford City Municipal Airport – $10 million for runway reconstruction.
  • Hillsboro Municipal Airport – $2 million for construction of a new parallel taxiway.

“Today’s funding will advance vital transportation infrastructure projects in Fargo, Watford City and Hillsboro and will help ensure these airports are able to continue providing safe and reliable transportation for their communities,” said Hoeven.
