Hoeven Announces Two HHS Grants to Support Research at NDSU, Update Food Regulatory Standards
WASHINGTON – Senator John Hoeven, a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, today announced that the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has awarded two grants to North Dakota entities:
- North Dakota State University (NDSU) will receive $145,000 to conduct research regarding the detection of pancreatic cancer.
- North Dakota Department of Health will receive $69,000 to support efforts to update the national retail food regulatory program standards and help ensure safe practices at foodservice and retail food establishments.
“These grants will fund efforts in the state that support the health and well-being of individuals and families,” said Hoeven.
