Hoeven Announces More Than $2 Million in Head Start Funding
WASHINGTON – Senator John Hoeven, a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, today announced that the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has awarded $1,153,419 to the Towner-Granville-Upham (TGU) School District #60 and $1,114,033 to the Community Action Partnership, Inc. in Dickinson. Today’s grant awards were made available through the Office of Head Start at HHS and will be used to promote school readiness and assist children as they prepare for school.
“Head Start helps prepare students to succeed at school, and today’s grant awards will provide important resources and opportunities to benefit the well-being of children and their families in North Dakota,” said Hoeven.
