Hoeven Announces Grant to Oyate Community Development Corporation
BISMARCK, N.D. – Senator John Hoeven, chairman of the Senate Agriculture Appropriations Committee and Senate Committee on Indian Affairs, and a member of the Senate Agriculture Committee, today announced that the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Office of Rural Development has awarded a grant of $82,000 to the Oyate Community Development Corporation in Fort Yates. Today’s funding is available through the Rural Microentrepreneur Assistance Program and will be used to provide education, training and direct lending of money to support community and business development within the Standing Rock Sioux Reservation.
“This grant will help support entrepreneurs and provide funding to expand economic opportunities,” said Hoeven.
