Hoeven will congratulate Gussner Elementary on being named a 2013 Blue Ribbon School during a ceremony held at the school.

The Senator will deliver the keynote address at the annual meeting of the North Dakota Association of Telecommunications Cooperatives.

Hoeven will tour the Department of Veterans Affairs clinic held at Mercy Hospital and provide community leaders with an update about the clinic’s efforts to provide primary care service to veterans living in the community.

The Senator will hold a medal presentation ceremony to present the family of the late Phillip Brusven with the military commendations he earned while serving during the Vietnam War.

Hoeven will host a roundtable discussion with Grafton community leaders regarding flood insurance and dry floodproofed residential basements.  

Hoeven will provide an update about the farm bill during the American Crystal Sugar Company/Red River Valley Sugar Beet Growers Association 2013 Joint Annual Meeting.

The Senator will honor Sharon Maier for her extensive work in the field of adoption at a ceremony held to formally recognize her as an Angel in Adoption. Hoeven recently nominated Maier for this national award designed to recognize individuals who accomplish extraordinary work on behalf of adoptive and foster families.

The Senator will speak to business leaders on his work in Congress at an event hosted by the Fargo Moorhead West Fargo Chamber of Commerce. Hoeven will travel to Hettinger to meet with area producers regarding a number of timely matters, including the farm bill and the severe winter storm that significantly impacted seven counties in southwestern and south central North Dakota in early October.

Hoeven will participate in the official ribbon cutting ceremony to mark the opening of the new St. Luke’s home in Dickinson.

Hoeven will present veteran Anton V. Tuhy with the military commendations he earned while serving during WWII.

The Senator will participate in a Freedom Salute ceremony held Saturday afternoon to welcome home the North Dakota National Guard’s 1919th Contingency Contracting Team which recently returned from deployment to Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
