GRAND FORKS, N.D. – On Wednesday, May 6, Senator John Hoeven will mark the grand opening of the Vorbeck manufacturing facility in Grand Forks. The 47,000 sq. ft. building will serve as the company’s hub to produce advanced fire suppressants using graphene-based materials. Hoeven secured federal funding in the Fiscal Year (FY) 2026 Defense Appropriations bill to support the kind of graphene-based, PFAS-free firefighting foam produced by the company. The ceremony will conclude with a tour of the facility.
