GRAND FORKS, N.D. – On Wednesday, May 6, Senator John Hoeven will hold a roundtable with leaders from the Community Violence Intervention Center (CVIC) and the Grand Forks Housing Authority on efforts to secure funding needed to ensure certainty for programs and projects in the Grand Forks region. Hoeven has been working as a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee to address funding delays at the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) and secure more than $1.8 million in federal funding to support the services CVIC provides to victims of violence. At the same time, the senator is working to help the Grand Forks Housing Authority free up capital to make needed improvements at the LaGrave Place affordable housing project. Following the roundtable, Hoeven will participate in a tour showcasing the CVIC’s services.
