BISMARCK, N.D. – Senator John Hoeven released the following statement commending Miss America 2018 Cara Mund for her leadership and the positive example she set during her time serving as Miss America. Mund worked in the Senator’s Washington, DC office in 2016.
“Cara did a wonderful job representing North Dakota and our nation during her reign as Miss America 2018. She was a strong advocate for the Make-A-Wish Foundation and has shown tremendous leadership over the past year. She is a prime example of the bright, dedicated young people we have in our state and we are proud of her work as Miss America. We wish Cara all the best as she starts a new chapter of her life and know that she has a bright future ahead of her.”
