Senator Hoeven's Public Events for Monday and Tuesday

MINOT, N.D. – Senator John Hoeven will hold public events in Minot and Fargo on Monday, Aug. 19 and Tuesday, Aug. 20. The schedule is as follows.

Monday, August 19

Hoeven along with local and state leaders will cut the ribbon to dedicate the 55th Street Minot Bypass/Overpass Project. This project, which has been funded through federal, state, local and private dollars, will help reduce traffic congestion and support intermodal shipping for the growing city. Parking available northeast of new bridge on the newly paved Minot Milling access road.

Tuesday, August 20

On Tuesday, Hoeven and the Fargo Moorhead West Fargo Chamber of Commerce will host the annual State of Technology conference, a business technology conference featuring keynote addresses by Tami Reller, executive vice president of Microsoft’s marketing group, and Doug Burgum, founder of Great Plains Software. The event will showcase some of the cutting-edge technologies being developed in North Dakota to drive growth in diverse industries, including energy, agriculture, information technology, health care, manufacturing and other growing business sectors. The senator will deliver remarks at 11:00 a.m. to begin the conference. Prior to the start of the technology conference, the senator and keynote speakers will hold a press conference.
