Senator Hoeven Observes Memorial Day in Fargo this Monday

FARGO, N.D. – Senator John Hoeven today issued his public schedule for Monday, May 26, as well as the following statement in observance of Memorial Day:

“It is fitting and right that our country sets aside a special day to remember and honor all of the brave military men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. In ceremonies held each Memorial Day in small towns and big cities across North Dakota and across the country we show our respect and admiration by laying flowers on graves and remembering loved ones who have died in the line of duty. As Americans, we recognize the greatness of our nation stems from our people, who from our founding have striven to uphold and defend our values with their lives. Today we pause to offer our thanks and prayers for all of them, as well as for all of America’s active duty, reserve and National Guard members who bear the responsibility of defending our country.”

In observance of the Memorial Day holiday, on Monday, May 26, Senator John Hoeven will speak at a ceremony scheduled to begin at 11:00 a.m. CT at Riverside Cemetery in Fargo. The schedule is as follows.
