Hoeven Welcomes WWII, Korean War & Vietnam War Veterans from Honor Flight to Washington, D.C.

FARGO, N.D. – Senator John Hoeven today helped welcome home 94 veterans and 31 volunteers as they returned from a three-day trip to Washington, D.C. organized by Veterans Honor Flight of ND/MN. The veterans were honored in the nation’s capital with a banquet to recognize their service and toured the national war memorials and Arlington National Cemetery. Participating veterans fought in World War II, the Korean War or the Vietnam War.

“Honor flights give our veterans a rightfully-earned opportunity to visit our nation’s capital, be recognized for their service in defending our freedoms and see our national war memorials firsthand,” said Hoeven. “We appreciate the hard work of the organizers for making trips like this a reality. In the Senate, we will continue our efforts to ensure veterans receive the recognition, benefits and support they have earned.”
