Hoeven: USDA Awards Research Funding to NDSU

WASHINGTON – Senator John Hoeven, chairman of the Senate Agriculture Appropriations Committee, today announced that the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) National Institute of Food and Agriculture (NIFA) has awarded $499,242 to North Dakota State University (NDSU). Today’s grant supports assessments of the Northern Great Plains and will be used to research the impact of livestock, plants and pollinators on the rangelands.

“This funding will support NDSU’s efforts to improve the understanding of the ecosystems found on the rangeland and ensure sustainable rangelands for our state’s agriculture and other needs,” said Hoeven.
