Hoeven Statement on Anniversary of September 11

WASHINGTON – Senator John Hoeven today issued the following statement in observance of the eleventh anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks on the United States. Hoeven today joined members of Congress on the U.S. Capitol steps at a remembrance ceremony to honor the almost 3,000 Americans who lost their lives that day:

“As we pause to reflect on the tragic events of Sept. 11, we honor all those who lost their lives that fateful day and all the men, women and children whose lives have been forever changed by senseless acts of terror. We remember the heroic actions of the first responders whose courage and selflessness still inspire us today. We pay tribute to our men and women in uniform who have answered the call to serve, especially those who lost their lives defending our freedoms. As we pay tribute and reflect on their sacrifices, we stand united and resolved as Americans. We will never forget.”
