Hoeven Statement Observing POW/MIA Recognition Day

WASHINGTON – Senator John Hoeven today released the following statement in observance of POW/MIA Recognition Day.

“Today we mark the legacies of our servicemembers who have endured unspeakable conditions or have yet to return home and recognize the debt of gratitude we owe to those who have risked everything,” said Hoeven. “These soldiers who have fearlessly fought to keep our nation free will never be forgotten and their service to this country deserves our deepest appreciation. We remember their sacrifice and their families while honoring their courage today.”

Senator Hoeven’s office works with the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency (DPAA) to assist families of missing military members to provide a full account of service personnel and ensure information is communicated to families.
