Hoeven Presents U.S. Flag to Honor Larimore Elementary School's Designation as a National Blue Ribbon School
LARIMORE, N.D. – At a ceremony today in Larimore, Senator John Hoeven presented a U.S. flag flown over the U.S. Capitol in honor of the students, educators and families of Larimore Elementary School and their designation as a 2022 National Blue Ribbon School. The U.S. flag will be displayed along with the National Blue Ribbon School flag, a special symbol representing the school’s exemplary teaching and learning.
“Being recognized as a National Blue Ribbon School is an incredible honor,” said Hoeven. “This is a distinction that is given to only the best schools in the nation and comes as a result of dedicated efforts from students, educators and families.”
Larimore Elementary School, along with Linton Public School and Bismarck’s Roosevelt Elementary School were the North Dakota schools designated as 2022 National Blue Ribbon Schools. Since 1982, the Blue Ribbon School award has honored public and private schools across the country that display overall academic excellence or progress in closing achievement gaps.
