Hoeven: NDSU Bison Honored at the White House, U.S. Capitol

WASHINGTON – Senator John Hoeven released the following statement after honoring the 7-time FCS National Champion North Dakota State University (NDSU) Bison at the White House and U.S. Capitol today. Following the Bison’s visit to the White House with the President, Hoeven hosted the team on Capitol Hill for a luncheon and tour of the U.S. Capitol.

“Between the White House and Capitol Hill, we held a full day of celebrating the NDSU Bison’s tremendous accomplishments,” Hoeven said. “The players, coaches and staff truly do a remarkable job, bringing home a record-setting seven FCS national championships in just eight years. It is fitting that we honored their achievements with the President today and at the U.S. Capitol, and we look forward to all of their future successes.”

Following the Bison’s championship win earlier this year, Hoeven and the President discussed the team’s impressive record over the past eight years, and honoring the team at the White House. On February 8, Hoeven announced that the President had invited the Bison football team to the White House.
