HOEVEN NAMED TO FOUR KEY COMMITTEES

Also Named To Republican Conference Leadership Advisory Board

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Senate Republican Conference today reported that Sen. John Hoeven (R-N.D.) has been named to four key committees: Appropriations; Energy and Natural Resources; Agriculture; and Indian Affairs.

In addition, the Senator has been selected to serve on the Republican Conference Leadership Advisory Board. The group meets weekly and provides input to the leadership team on issues pending before the Senate. During the last Congress, the advisory board proved to be a sounding board and valuable resource for the Republican leadership.

“These committee assignments provide a great opportunity to bring North Dakota’s perspective and influence to bear on issues important not only to our state but also our nation,” Hoeven said. “A seat at the leadership advisory board’s regular meetings, moreover, will give us an additional opportunity to make sure that North Dakota’s voice is heard when important policy decisions are discussed and decided.”
