Hoeven Honors Fargo-Based Brandt Holdings Company for Leadership in Exporting
WASHINGTON – Senator John Hoeven today joined U.S. Secretary of Commerce Gary Locke to award Fargo-based Brandt Holdings Company with a 2011 Presidential E-Award for excellence in exporting.
“Brandt Holdings Company is a good example of the kind of innovation and hard work that drives our economy and puts Americans to work,” said Hoeven. “This North Dakota company has worked hard to increase exports and market their products abroad. National recognition for their initiative and successes is well deserved.”
Brandt Holdings President Ace Brandt and International Sales Manager Stacy Anthony accepted the award at the U.S. Department of Commerce. Brandt started the company in 1992 and it has grown to include four divisions: agriculture, construction, real estate and entertainment. The agriculture and construction divisions of the company offer John Deere agricultural products and Vermeer and Bobcat construction products.
The Presidential E-Award recognizes U.S. companies that have shown continual growth in exports. Brandt Holdings Company is one of 27 firms nationwide recognized for creatively marketing products abroad. 2011 marks the 50th anniversary of the award that was created by Executive Order to encourage U.S. companies to sell their products abroad.
