Hoeven: HHS Awards $2.7 Million to Support Head Start Programs in North Dakota

WASHINGTON – Senator John Hoeven, a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, today announced that the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has awarded more than $2.7 million in funding to support Head Start and Early Head Start programs in North Dakota. The grants, which provide education and early child development resources to families to help better prepare their children for school, are as follows:

  • $1,034,757 for the Community Action Partnership in Dickinson
  • $1,690,764 for the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe

“These Head Start and Early Head Start grants will help provide children in these communities with the foundation they need to succeed in school and reach their full potential,” Hoeven said.
