Hoeven: FEMA Awards Funding to ND Department of Health, ND Department of Emergency Services

BISMARCK, N.D. – Senator John Hoeven, a member of the Senate Homeland Security Appropriations Committee, today announced that the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has awarded $6.4 million to the North Dakota Department of Health and $2.2 million to the North Dakota Department of Emergency Services. These grants were made available under the Stafford Act for Emergency Protective Measures and will be used to assist with expenses related to the state’s coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) response efforts including increased staffing needs, materials and equipment and testing efforts.

“This funding from FEMA will support North Dakota’s continued efforts to respond to the COVID-19 public health emergency across the state,” said Hoeven.
