Hoeven: FEMA Awards $10.6 Million to ND Department of Health

BISMARCK, N.D. – Senator John Hoeven, a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, today announced that the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has awarded $10.6 million to the North Dakota Department of Health. This grant was made available under the Stafford Act and will be used by the state to assist with expenses related to coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) response efforts, including increased testing, laboratory capacity, supplies, software and warehousing facilities.

“This grant from FEMA will provide important support as North Dakota continues responding to the COVID-19 public health emergency,” said Hoeven.
