Hoeven: DOT Awards More Than $926,000 to Fund Airport Improvements in Casselton, Dickinson

WASHINGTON – Senator John Hoeven, who serves on the U.S. Senate Appropriations Committee, today announced that the Department of Transportation’s (DOT) Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has awarded two grants totaling $926,478 to the Dickinson Municipal Airport Authority and Casselton Regional Airport Authority. The funds are awarded as follows:

  • Dickinson Municipal Airport Authority – $675,000 – To fund repairs to the runway and taxiway and rehabilitation of the airport apron.
  • Casselton Regional Airport Authority – $251,478 – Funding will be used to update the airport master plan to address key issues for future development.

“These funds will help to improve our airport infrastructure in Dickinson and Casselton to ensure that we’re meeting the needs of these communities,” said Hoeven. “Maintaining and improving our airports is vital to our state’s economy as well as ensuring safer air travel for passengers.”
