Hoeven Congratulates Roosevelt Elementary School on Designation as a National Blue Ribbon School

Senator Presents Flag Flown over Nation’s Capitol in Honor of Students and Faculty’s Achievements

BISMARCK, N.D. – Senator John Hoeven today congratulated the students, educators and families of Roosevelt Elementary School on their designation as a 2022 National Blue Ribbon School. In honor of their achievements, Hoeven presented the school with a U.S. flag flown over the U.S. Capitol, which will be displayed along with the National Blue Ribbon School flag, a special symbol representing the school’s exemplary teaching and learning.

“The designation as a National Blue Ribbon School is proof of the excellence and dedication of the entire community surrounding Roosevelt Elementary, including the students and their families, teachers, administration and support staff,” said Hoeven. “Their hard work represents the best of our state and helps ensure a bright future for North Dakota and our nation.”

Roosevelt Elementary School, along with Linton Public School and Larimore Elementary School were the North Dakota schools designated as 2022 National Blue Ribbon Schools. Since 1982, the Blue Ribbon School award has honored public and private schools across the country that display overall academic excellence or progress in closing achievement gaps.
