Hoeven Celebrates National EMS Week

WASHINGTON – Senator John Hoeven today commemorated the 42nd annual National EMS week, which honors first responders. President Gerald Ford first authorized National EMS week in 1974.

“Whether it is a life threatening accident or sudden illness, America’s first responders quickly respond to save lives,” Hoeven said. “This week, we honor EMS men and women who every day, 24/7, are prepared for the worst and work for the best, giving us hope in difficult circumstances. Thank you for all you do.”
