Hoeven Announces USDA Rural Development Investments in North Dakota

BISMARCK, N.D. – Senator John Hoeven, chairman of the Senate Agriculture Appropriations Committee and a member of the Senate Agriculture Committee, today announced that the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), through the Office of Rural Development, has awarded Community Facilities Direct Loans and Guaranteed Loans to four North Dakota entities:

  • Cooperstown Medical Center – $20,964,000 loan and a $2,000,000 loan guarantee to construct a new multi-purpose medical facility.
  • City of Williston – $95,000,000 loan and a $19,000,000 loan guarantee to refinance existing local debt incurred to construct the new Williston Basin International Airport.
  • Hill Top Home of Comfort, Inc. – $3,500,000 loan to construct a memory care unit to increase the number of private rooms and expand services available. 
  • Dickey County – $664,500 loan and a $55,500 grant to renovate the lower level of the Dickey County courthouse. 

“Helping to make improvements across the state, these investments from USDA will provide critical funding to enhance infrastructure needs including additional medical care opportunities and access to transportation,” said Hoeven.
