WASHINGTON – Senator John Hoeven, Ranking Member of the Senate Agriculture Appropriations Committee, today announced that the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) National Institute of Food and Agriculture (NIFA) has awarded $499,991 to North Dakota State University (NDSU). This grant will be used to support research related to the expansion of small and medium-size farm businesses through integrating farming systems and livestock reproductive strategies.
“Small and mid-size farms are an important part of our agricultural economy and today’s grant will support research at NDSU to help our ag producers,” said Hoeven.
