Hoeven Announces Two HHS Grants to Support Head Start, Workforce Training

BISMARCK, N.D. – Senator John Hoeven, a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, today announced that the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) through the Administration for Children and Families has awarded two grants to North Dakota entities:

  • Bismarck Public Schools will receive $1,799,388 for Head Start and Early Head Start services to assist children preparing for school.
  • Cankdeska Cikana Community College will receive $1,272,956 for the Next Steps II program to support health care workforce training. 

“These HHS grants support education and workforce training services in our state to enhance opportunities for our students and families,” said Hoeven.
