Hoeven Announces Research Funding to EERC
FARGO, N.D. – Senator John Hoeven, a member of the Senate Energy and Water Development Appropriations Committee, today announced that the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) Advanced Research Projects Agency-Energy (ARPA-E) has awarded $500,000 to the University of North Dakota’s (UND) Energy & Environmental Research Center (EERC). This grant will be used to help develop technology to remove carbon dioxide from oceanwater.
“This grant supports EERC’s efforts to use their research and knowledge regarding the capturing of CO2 in a wide variety of environments,” said Hoeven.
