Hoeven Announces Nearly $8 Million to Fargo Transit System from CARES Act
WASHINGTON – Senator John Hoeven, a member of the Senate Transportation, Housing and Urban Development Appropriations Committee, today announced that the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) has awarded $7.9 million to the City of Fargo. Today’s funding was made available through the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act and will be used to operate and maintain the Fargo transit system through the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic.
“This CARES Act funding will help support efforts taken by the City of Fargo to continue safe, reliable operation during the ongoing COVID-19 public health emergency,” said Hoeven.
