Hoeven Announces Nearly $1.5 Million in Head Start Funding for Turtle Mountain
WASHINGTON – Senator John Hoeven, a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, today announced that the Administration for Children and Families’ Office of Head Start has awarded $1,471,918 to the Turtle Mountain Band of Chippewa Indians. The funds will help support Head Start and Early Head Start programs in the Turtle Mountain community which provide education and early child development resources to families to help better prepare their children for school.
“Today’s funding will help support Head Start programs in Turtle Mountain so that children in this community will have a strong foundation to help them succeed in their education,” Hoeven said.
