Hoeven Announces More Than $3.6 Million FEMA Grant to Protect Fargo Waste Water Treatment Plant From Flooding

WASHINGTON – Senator John Hoeven, a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, today announced that the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has awarded a $3,679,792 grant to the City of Fargo’s Waste Water Treatment Plant (WWTP). This grant will fund levee and floodwall construction as well as raise the roadways to provide permanent flood protection. Improvements stand to benefit the cities of Fargo, West Fargo, Oxbow and other surrounding communities.

“Today’s funds play a crucial role in supporting the construction of needed flood protection,” said Hoeven. “These improvements will help ensure reliable wastewater treatment for the region, even in the face of high water levels and severe flooding.”
