Hoeven Announces More Than $2.8 Million to ND Department of Health

WASHINGTON – Senator John Hoeven, a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, today announced that the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), through the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), has awarded $2,845,520 to the North Dakota Department of Health. Today’s funding will be used to support early cancer detection and prevention efforts across the state through the North Dakota Cancer Prevention and Control Program.

“Cancer screenings and prevention efforts are critical components in the fight against this terrible disease, and today’s grant will help to prevent and catch cancer early, when it may be easier to treat,” said Hoeven.
