Hoeven Announces More than $150K in Federal Funding for Cavalier Fire Department

WASHINGTON – Senator John Hoeven, who serves on the U.S. Senate Appropriations Committee, today announced that the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has awarded $152,429 to the Cavalier Fire Department. The funds will be used to provide professional training, personal protective equipment, modifications to facilities and supplies that support firefighting and emergency medical services operations and safety.

“It’s important to ensure that our fire departments have the equipment they need in case an emergency strikes, and this funding will ensure that the Cavalier Fire Department has the resources it needs to keep residents safe,” Hoeven said.

Hoeven serves as chairman of the U.S. Senate Appropriations Committee on Homeland Security, which oversees funding for FEMA and other agencies at DHS.
