WASHINGTON – Senator John Hoeven, a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, announced today that the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has awarded $1,204,111 to the Three Affiliated Tribes. Today’s funding will support Head Start services through the American Indian and Alaska Native Program (AIAN) and will be used to promote school readiness for children and their families on the Fort Berthold Indian Reservation.
“The Head Start program provides resources and services to help ensure children and their families are prepared for school,” said Hoeven.
