Hoeven Announces Head Start Funding to Cankdeska Cikana Community College

WASHINGTON – Senator John Hoeven, chairman of the Senate Committee on Indian Affairs and a member of the Senate Appropriations Committee, today announced that the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), through the Administration for Children and Families, has awarded $709,465 to Cankdeska Cikana Community College. This funding, provided through the Head Start Partnerships with Tribally Controlled Land Grant Colleges, will be used to support school readiness and developmental services for children and their families.

“Head Start helps build a strong educational foundation and this new grant from HHS will ensure young children and their families in the Fort Totten area are able to have the support necessary to be school ready,” said Hoeven.
